Founder Katie Cartwright’s passion for feedback-driven design and the customer experience led her to create Cartwright Built. The company’s mission is to bring an innovative, unique and memorable housing brand to the market.

Before founding Cartwright Built, Katie played a key role in the development, design, construction, and management of more than 3,000 apartment, townhome, and single-family residences through her work with CamWest (now a Toll Brothers company) and MainStreet Property Group LLC, Washington’s 2019 NAIOP Developer of the Year.

Previously holding SVP, Executive, and General Manager roles at MainStreet Property Group, GenCap Construction, and Insite Property Solutions, Katie led initiatives spanning brand development, strategic market research, property acquisition, development, and the customer experience. Her leadership has been instrumental in the successful launch of numerous multifamily, townhome, condo, and single-family communities.

Known for her innovative, design-forward approach and attention to detail, Katie brings a hands-on mindset and long-term vision to every Cartwright Built project, creating homes that are both thoughtfully crafted and something that she would love to come home to each day.
